Friday Roll Call

Hello everyone

Friday is here!!!  Woohoo!!!

Yesterday I almost forgot I had a plans for dinner with an old friend.  Thank god for my iPhone.  I put everything on there.  So we went to Red Robin...I always have the turkey burger and instead of the fries I had the fruit.  They let you do that.  They have a very tasty turkey burger. Amanda loves their veggie burger.

Yesterday on our walk we decided to wander into this place we always pass by.  It's called The Hands of Hope.  I knew it was a place for needy people...like a food pantry.  We wanted to check the place out and find out about donating stuff.  Well we were very surprised to find out it was like a full service grocery store and most of the stuff you buy but at low rock bottom prices.  It is for poor people.  But I think it's more like a Costco for poor people.  You pay $5 and prove need....and you get to shop there (they are open Tuesday-Saturday during the day).  This place really is awesome.  To me it's more of a hand-up than a hand-out, because you pay something rather than getting it for free.  There is also opportunties to volunteer and I think I might look into this.  Just because I really like the concept so much.  It allows people to ask for help and not feel like they are getting charity.  I would have loved a place like this when I was a struggling single mother.

Today I have work then after I have to finally do that laundry I keep putting off all week.  But after I run a couple of errands.  Than than that's it.  How about you guys??

By the way they are having pizza at work today...ugh!!!

Well I have to get going...have a wonderful day...see ya laters gators...bye.

I will take a stroll, wonder out at noon for a meeting and go by the Jewel for tortillas, half and half and a can of sloppy joe.

So you have been forgiven?

Good Morning,

Yesterday I got most of the housework done I wanted to do. I still have the dining room to do. That will get done this morning.

Today, I have errands to run, then this evening we are going to an early party that is being held by a co worker, She has them twice a year, for donations to Goodwill. So, I gathered up a couple of bags of donations to take over. If I have a chance to go downstairs to the basement today, I will gather up some more stuff.

Where is Sharon? She hasn't been on all week.

Crystal, eat the toppings from the pizza today.

Nancy, we had to put our cats on a special diet years ago. It was very costly then too.

Dawn, enjoy your weekend.

Randy, getting a laptop, so you could be outside while you are doing things, is a great idea. We are thinking of doing that for our business stuff. We won't even hook it up to the internet.

Connie, have a great knitting weekend,

Missy, please check in.

Christine, where are you hiding.

Karla. its nice to see you on our forum again.

Kim, I hope you are starting to feel better.

Crystal, have you thought of putting the info for our get together on events, on facebook. We might get some of the older members to come.

Have a great day.

HUGS,

Lisa

Hi everyone!

Not too much to do today--maybe the Farmer's market tonight. I have a few things to gather to take to the hospital Wednesday and I don't know if we are going up Tuesday night because I don't know yet what time the surgery might be. If I have to be at the hospital at 5AM we'll go the night before. Otherwise, we'll drive up on Wednesday. I don't suppose we will hear till Mon or Tues what the time will be. We do see the doc on Monday afternoon. trying to let go of the anxiety. I have a CD which prepares you for surgery. Research says that twith his particular CD  patients had 30% less blood loss and faster recovery. I've used it before and Kay says she can see a difference in my pain level when I listen to it, so I'll get it out and listen the next few days in preparation.

Our kitty had that expensive food--what a hassle. Both cats had to eat it, we couldn't keep the food separated. I understand how this can be an issue.

Hoping everyone has a great Friday.

Connie

Hello IL,

I'm feeling a little better. Yesterday I took a shower and I about passed out. I've never had that happen. My hearing went and I started to sweat really bad. Once I got feeling better, Ryan washed me and shampooed my hair. I tell ya, the first time you see yourself without a flap of skin, it's so crazy!!! Today I'm gonna try and lay off of pain pills and take one around 1:30. They make me really really sleepy. I'll take a nap around 2. Today I have a build up of flem in my lungs and all I want to do is cough and get it out. But I can't really cough. It's so frustrating!
I hope everyone has a good weekend. We are just relaxing. I'll probably start a crochet project while I'm sitting in the recliner. TV is getting boring!
